When do we train?
Swim: Tuesdays 4.30pm-5.15pm 8-10 year olds, 5.15-6.00pm 11-16 year olds - Westgate Leisure Centre Chichester
We have the use of a dedicated wide single lane. The sessions are broken down into drills to help improve technique such as the use of kick boards, pull buoys and many others. In addition, individual tutoring is offered to help juniors hone their technique.
We encourage the juniors to bring a drink with them together with costume/trunks, towel, goggles + swim hat. All other equipment is provided.
Bike/Run: Saturday 10:00-Midday 8-16 year olds Start of Centurions Way ( Back of Bishop Luffa School)
The bike ride is ALL off road on Centurion Way, and ranges from 6 - 10Km ( 4 - 6 Miles). The surface is smooth tarmac and is suitable for either a road bike or mountain bike, please ensure the bike is in fit working order especially brakes and you MUST wear a helmet ( no helmet no ride)
The run session is held on a grass surface working on technique, speed, endurance etc. and the nature of the session changes each week. We encourage you to wear suitable footwear and suitable warm clothes for cold weather.
We encourage the juniors to make sure you have had a hearty breakfast and carry a full bottle + snack.
