Now that CWTC is nearly a year old we thought it would be a good idea to have a club records page. This can be found under the members menu.
The list is by no means finished so if you think you are entitled to have your name up in lights then please e-mail me and i’ll put it up. You can use individual swim, bike, run splits from a tri race as a record as well, just let me know which race it was.
A couple of rules; only times set during actual races except for a few special occasions (Pyrenees mountain climbs) and only times since CWTC has been running i.e October 2008 onwards please! (Yes Mike, we all know you did Marathons in the desert but that doesn’t count as these are CWTC records!)

For anyone looking to improve thier swimming and do some reading around the subject, you may find it useful to visit www.swimsmooth.com.
.

.

.
This site uses text, videos and some clever animations to highlight key areas where technique can be improved. Aidy has approved the content as in line with his teachings and there is some very interesting stuff on it.
.
The animation represents the ‘perfect stroke’ and if you download it you can slow it down, speed it up, view it from any angle and even hide the water, its pretty clever and certainly useful.
.
Any ladies looking for ‘Mr Smooth’ – here is your answer.

After much discussion, research and wind tunnel testing, coach Campbell has discovered that the best way to wear an Aero helmet (aka Sperm head) is back to front. He has kindly demonstrated his findings in the following photo.
.

The latest craze
.
Please note: The following study was performed, in depth, at Andrew Soppitt’s post Worthing Triathlon BBQ.
However it must be pointed out that things got silly when he suggested that, when in Australia, they go for a training ride with everyone wearing them back to front. How many Aussies would follow our new trend in search of those vital seconds???

Hello everybody! I’m back after a period of radio silence. Thanks go to Will for keeping the website updated for us with some great content! I’m going to follow Will’s entries with more images of us all as I think it is good to see us out there training and racing.
So, first up is some photos I took of the time trial which runs on Thursday evenings. The 10 mile timed race is great for training as it is a real race against the clock and improvements can be seen week on week!
This week we had Tom on his new Specialized Transition Expert, Mary on her Argon, Andrew with his (fairly) new Zipp 404′s and Jason, Mike and Dan on their trusty steeds.
Andrew did an awesome time of 21:47 which put him 1st place for the evening and a record for CWTC! Mary managed a PB of 24:08 so well done to her. Tom wasn’t actually entered in the race but still did the course. I’m still waiting for his result and will post it when I know. Everybody else posted consistent times.
Gareth
